Kids are bit older and have been around guns all their lives, so:
- .45 on the my side of the bed which faces the bedroom door. I attached the plastic tac holster that holds the pistol to the sideboard.
- 20 gauge pistol grip shotgun under the bed, mixture of rounds in the hopper.
- Two noisy dogs downstairs. They are unarmed
- Browning Hi-Power downstairs, within three steps of where I spend the majority of my time.
- On the weekends I carry a .22 semi-auto rifle in the truck when I'm working around the farm. The thing is remarkably accurate and I feel it is enough of a deterrent for day time nuisances.
Remember that I live about a two putt from no-where so trusting in the better angels of man's nature is not an option. We have had veryfew problems down here because everyone has a gun, hunts and supports self-defense.
Key is that the collective folks here are smart: none of us are Rambos...but none of us want to be victims.
