Not in this state you won't. We have a Castle Doctrine law which basically says that if if a someone breaks into your home, your occupied vehicle, or your business, that you may presume he is there to do harm or committ a felony and you may use any force against them up to and including deadly force without the need to attempt retreat. This law also provides protection for the property owner from criminal or civil litigation if you take this action.
Which is nice.
