I agree with the folks telling you to drive the 911. At 17 I was driving my 1966 Mustang as a daily driver. It really made me appreciate the value of working on a car yourself, because if it wasn't running, I didn't have wheels.
I'd stick with the Porsche if you can find some respectable insurance. Its a lot harder to "beat on" a car that you are fixing every time it breaks as well...
