The Long Beach Polar bear club has for the last few years done a swim on Super Bowl Sunday.
This year they teamed with Make a Wish to raise some funds for the charity. Also Guinness Book of Records had people present as they were trying to get into the record book for the largest Polar bear plunge....
They needed to have 3000+ swim to get the record.. I have no idea how they can possibly determine how many people went for a dip...

I was actually a very nice beach day, no wind, local restaurants suppied food, there was much imbibing going on...fun time...
