Okay - I'll be the lone dissenter.
The plot was just an unusually low budget, unimaginative variation of the already tired "kidnapped" action movie. The last one of this genre I watched was "Man on Fire" which I thought was infinitely better. Turn the knob up to 11 for the amount of belief that one must suspend in this clunker. Not even
cool fakeness like riding on the tail of a F-35 (yeah, I know) Raptor, but more the lame "the bag guys just ain't fightin' back" variety of fake. As far as cast, Famke Janssen was less a bytch when playing the Phoenix. Must have blew the X-men paycheck. I felt deep sorrow for Liam Neison, who's financial situation or lack of better offers can be the only reasons he took the role. Even his usually fine performance was monumentally flacid, until now, unmatched since Costner's performance in "Robin Hood". As for the other nameless, B actors, I was rooting for the bad guys to kill them off. I left the theater craving an Audi for some weird reason.

Must have been the unrelenting product placement. I give it a D+.
Flame away.
