Other than the engine, I really don't consider the 77 cars as mid year.
These cars, in my opinion, are basically SCs without the flares and the 3.0 engine..
1. As stated, assuming "complete" professional build.. the engine should be as reliable as any other with the assumption that the known or inherent 2.7 problems have been mitigated.
2. It's a 911.. still a relatively light car, and fun to drive. Not the torque of the 3.0 or the 3.2, not quite as nimble as the pre-74 cars but still able to please.
3. In this economy, that's a really hard call. Again, assuming a full professional build.. which would be a minimum of $6500 + Then of course what is the overall condition of the rest of the car..the body, the interior.. condition of suspension and its components etc?
Trouble is, for what they probably want for this car, you could get an SC or maybe even a Carrera for a few dollars more.. oh, and with a few more miles of course.
