One of the sad aspects of my former life in the military is becoming separated from the family.
My Dad, 78, had appendicitis a month ago, and, because he is a stubborn mule and tried to fight through the pain, he got Septic encephalopathy complicating acute appendicitis for his bravery.
I spent two weeks at the hospital and a few days at his place. He has never been sick before...looks like he now wants to move near me and my family.
Sunday dinner indeed.
Cherish the moments and thanks for the reminder.
