I'm another ambi. Throw right, bat left, eat left, shoot right, write left, kick right. Over the years I figured out that when growing up if something pushed me right, I went that way. My brothers had right handed baseball gloves and toy holsters so I went right. A bat, fork, and pencil are neutral so they went left.
Kicking right footed was the true oddity, but I eventually figured out that when my brothers held a football on end for me to kick a field goal, they lined up the way it would be comfortable for them - pushing me to kick right.
I've always had a question about the definition of ambidextrousness, which states "use both hands equally well." OK, I can't write with my right hand or bat right handed so am I truly ambidextrous? Should a true ambi be able to switch back and forth?
