Get a nice, used Ruger Mark II.
The take down isn't too difficult once you get the hang of it. I still have to use the manual to put it together, but it only take me a minute or so to reassemble.
I got the Ruger because I realized I was paying for an hour of range time and only using 20 minutes with the 9mm.
