The Japanese (and recently, BMW) have proved that people will buy ugly expensive cars. Looks to me like these esthetically-challenged folks will have another option.
Sorry to see it, but IMO, the Panamera isn't as big a blow to Porsche as the Cayenne was, and it survived that and was able to build the Carrera GT.
From the brink of disappearance in the mid-90s to being one of the most powerful car companies in the world is a good transition -- and it's largely due to lessons from the Japanese car industry, ironically.
