Thanks for the advise. I checked two independents. They were both adamant that a new rebuilt Porsche engine was the only way to go. $17K either way. Dealer was $18K.
Honestly, the car was pretty beat up as it was my daily driver for four years. Paid $40k in 2004 got $5k in trade. Wife not happy with the P-car addiction
