This is a reason I don't like Rush actually. When I see someone play live, I want something beyond the recording, not a "cover band" playing things note for note. No matter how well they do it.
Peart is a great drummer, but I'm not into the 40 drum setup. I'd rather hear what someone can do with kick, snare and hi hat. And yes, Rich is the gold standard, but frankly I think that Carlock could easily give Rich a run for his money. Buddy would be pissed as hell about it too...
