Do you have any friends who can get you in touch with some of their friends who are RE agents within a 25-50 mile radius of you?
I would think they'd be the best source for advice on what to do now, in your first 6 months, etc.
Be sure to tell them you're interested in talking to agents who aren't "full of themselves." There are agents out there who aren't obnoxious egomaniacs who have been in the business for awhile who'd love to help you out.
The real jerks might want to sabotage you with bad advice, thinking "why should I help Jake out... he would be
competing with me."
