The above doesn't sound like Meniere's - with which I've been diagnosed. Mine seems to be associated with allergies of sorts - my symptoms appear sporadically in the spring or fall, but I can go years without an attack. It's symptoms are vertigo, nausea, and tinitis (ringing in the ears.) My history goes back almost 30 yrs.

Meclizine does work wonders, but it makes me super-drowsy, even in very low doses. It is the active ingredient in Bonine, but a prescription for the pills will be MUCH cheaper than the over the counter option.
