I have always liked the early TTs.
Now they are at a good price.
Go to a good independent mechanic and get it reviewed.
I am scheduling my timing belt change on my 2.7t and it will run me about 900 (new everything -all belts, all gaskets of course, new water pump, etc..). Should run awesome after that..
