a few weeks ago i posted item about attaching 2.7 emblem to engine vent and double sided tape seemed to be the answer, but this appeared way too easy and a 5 minute job. I wanted something more complicated that would take ages.
So i fabricated a small metal plate the length and width of the emblem with a small narrow raised ridge that would sit between the vents.
The emblem is glued to the metal plate which results in having a larger surface area of the emblem actually in contact with the glue. The small ridge fits neatly between the vents and washer and nut holds every thing in place.
oh well, i had fun doing it!
oh, almost forgot - i did use some double sided tape between the back of the plate and the vent just in case, don't want to scratch the vents now!
cheers
