Blah. "Deadlock" didn't do too much for me. The most significant thing was that it's setting up a potentially interesting shooting war between the Sons of Aries and Baltar's monotheistic sect. Might be interesting. Everything else was boring, frankly. Listening to Ellen (unconvincingly) try to play herself as the visionary leader of the Cylons was horrible. I can't stand her character - she's a drunken whore with no vision or coherent leadership skills other than knowing how to manipulate people by f*king them. The choice of her as the "final cylon" was terrible, IMHO. A real dud in the writing.
Was there ever any doubt that Tigh would go to the base ship? C'mon. Fabricated drama that wasn't. The cylon goop stuff is a somewhat interesting analogy of becoming a "hybrid" society. I wonder what human technology will end up on the base ship to make that one a hybrid too (the jump drive from the raptor last season?)
The death of the pure cylon baby was interesting, but not the least bit unexpected.
I hope the next few episodes are better.
