Reminds me of a good friend of mine that I don't get to see much anymore. We used to work out together regularly back long ago when I was in shape in high school and such. I weighed about 165 lbs and had a body fat percentage of 5.5%. I would squat around 350lbs, leg press 650, and bench near 200. Mind you, I was like 16 at the time so I felt pretty good about this.
Well, needless to say I torn up a knee and stopped lifting for a while, then stopped running, and stopped exercising all together in college.
Now I can't bench more than 200 still, and can no longer run 6 minute miles. I weigh 175 lbs (not a big change there ) but my body fat is around 15-17%, all of it beer gut.
My friend? He is a body builder, works as a trainer at a gym, and benches around 440lbs. He can squat over 1000. And we used to be right along side each other.
It's pretty amazing how much you can change with a good regiment and a year or two.
