I'm not defending the seller for shipping a trashed deck lid, but the auction makes no mention of the condition. All it says is "1978 911 SC Deck lid."
If a seller says and item is in "good" condition I make a point to ask why it's only good and not "great" or "mint."
Maybe a paintless dent removal place can straighten it out for you.
