What do young people think of old 911s today?

I was just pondering this. When I was a young kid around 8 or 9, just getting interested in cars, all 911s looked the same to me, because, between 65 and 85 they didn't really change that much in appearance, to a young kid who hasn't yet learned the details. All I knew then is I preferred the ones with whale tails.

But I wonder what kids that age or older think of the older 911s nowadays. I've talked to several teenagers who drool over the 996/997 lines, just like I drooled over the 930 lines when I was that age. But the difference between a 997 and, say, an SC is marked, much more so than the difference between a 3.2 and a longhood.

I don't really care what kids think of my car, I'm curious as to how the lines stand up to people who grew up knowing a more modern alternative, and how that history stacks up.

Yeah, ok, so I'm procrastinating getting back to work tonight

Thoughts?
