Pretty much every Sig is under $1K. I love the feel - less "blocky" than the grip on a Glock and I prefer the trigger feel. But that is a personal thing.
The p229 can be had in 9mm, 40SW or 357Sig. The p220 is .45ACP single stack, and you can get full size, carry, or compact size.
