clutch brake pedal assembly

i am replacing the floors in my 68 912 and have removed the pedal assembly. since it is out and is not working properly i decided to rebuild it and install new bushings etc. well now i'm in a fix because i can't get it apart. i have removed the screw from the clutch pedal which holds the pedal to the end of the main shaft but the pedal will not budge from the shaft. i have heated it. i have redrilled the screw hole. i have frozen and then heated it and i have even tried using a 2 ton press to push it out. no luck. am i missing something?

any help would be appreciated. i cant even find a new main shaft to replace the old one if i have to cut it apart.

thanks in advance
