Thanks for all the replys. I guess my problem comes in as I was prior service Navy. Even though it was a Seabee battalion, its still Navy. But my unit never said anything about going through WTC even though they sent me through 68w (medic) school. From my understand I shouldnt have been able to go to any army schools without WTC. I volunteered back in Dec and I think it should have been brought up in Feb at the most. I already made arrangements and got a storage unit and everything. The fire dept has already made changes to the schedule for my deployment. I used up all my leave from the fire dept for the year to visit family. So basically if I dont deploy I'm screwing over alot of people and myself. The new unit I just transferred to for this deployment is hurting for more people and still asking for volunteers. Chics are getting pregnant, and people are all of a sudden on medical waivers so they cant deploy. I'm actually DUMB enough to volunteer... LOL... If they screw me over on this deployment. They better not ask me to re-enlist or volunteer for anything. I got screwed out of a Navy commendation medal, a Navy achievement medal, and a Combat action ribbon by the Navy... now I'm getting screwed out of a deployment I want to go on. Freakin-A... why cant the military be like the old days.. just get out and do it... now its all paper work... and "legal" crap...
