Saw a report on the news a week or so ago that the SPAM factory is in full production 24/7 trying to keep up with the demand. Can't remember how many cans they turn out a day but it was a staggering number. Recessions / depressions are apparently very good for SPAM business.
Also, Hawaiians apparently love SPAM. Sell more in Hawaii on a per capita basis than anywhere.
And yes, a couple of thick slices of SPAM fried in a skillet, some good cheddar cheese and Miracle Whip between two slices of fresh bread and a cold glass of milk....
doesn't get much better than that.... mmmmmmmmm. Per DHowards post, lettuce and tomato are optional.
