What about the Dansk Sport? It's obviously one of the heavier options out there  , but given their OEM roots I figured they might be closer to the (low) OEM noise level.

Yup Our mufflers are 10db louder in 2 outs. though with ours you can remove 1 tail pipe and block it off our sport mufflers though are quieter then our mirrored 2 out considerably but those don't fit your valance very well.
Now that said I ran around for years with my gen3 2 in 2 out on my 77 with an 81 engine in it and could have a conversation with my son in the back seat pretty easily. it was much quieter then the flowmaster I had on it previously (pre M&K).
If I were choosing a muffler I would go of course with our product or a monty no other choice IMHO.
