I figure the odds of a catastrophic earthquake are higher than major civil unrest or terrorist activity around here, but I can't completely discount any of the these, so I keep things stocked-up. It's clear to me that L.A. is not equipped to handle any event that levels a large portion of the city and knocks-out power and water. I'd rather be a little paranoid than dead...
