Pod anyone?
You can rent a 40' container for about $110 a month and the drop off/pick up fee is only another couple of hundred bucks.

We rented one when we built this last house to store building supplies in, and it was a life saver...

The downside would be, if somebody wanted to, they could have brought a container moving truck and stolen the entire container in probably 5 minutes...If i had it to do over again, i would have teletrac'd the container. We got lucky and had no thefts, but it was utter stupidity to just lock it and hope for the best.

p.s. The city told me that I wasn't allowed to drop a container in our snooty neighborhood and I told them that I was going to anyway because the police department does such a sh-it ty job of protecting new construction sites and if they gave me any problem about it then I would raise hell with the city council... It was on the property for six months and the city never said another word about it.
