That is what we are lead to believe. But I am not so certain of this -- it is almost too obvious.
I think we may just see a "Ship of Lights" as we saw in the original series. These may be the 'gods' that the humans speak of.
Or, ala Bob Newhart, Adama may just wake up on Galactica the day after it was decommissioned.
