Clearly the bike was in the oncoming lane - however, look at how much road is still available for the truck to maneuver into. Why wasn't the driver of the truck watching where he was going, and make at least a small attempt to avoid the accident.

After driving in other countries, I have come to appreciate other drivers that are constantly looking out for the other guy, and making room for everyone. This country seems to think they own their half of the road.
