So the answer is don't bother with the drilling of the 964's but it's a cheap HP gain for the 993's.
Unless you want your 964 to sound really great! I just drilled these holes few days ago. I haven't noticed any performance difference, but the car sure sounds tougher. Another reason why we like the older models.
