There isn't a Pixar film yet (including the shorts) that I haven't loved.
Wall-E was a little preachy, but sometimes preachy can be necessary and/or correct too.
Given how dopey the public-at-large is, I think sometimes having the subtlety and tact of a baseball bat to the forehead is necessary to get some things home. I remember seeing it in the theater and overhearing some woman on the way out talking about the movie on her cell phone to someone "yea, you'll love the movie - it's mostly the cutest love story about these two robots..."
Yea, sometimes even the level of subtlety in Wall-E (which is basically "none") is lost on some people. Unreal.
I really worry about the future of our species sometimes. When I look around, there ain't much reason to be hopeful sometimes...
