My ex-wife tracked me down almost 20 years to the day of our divorce. She had finally left the guy she was cheating on me with (my former best friend BTW) and just wanted to get together for old time's sake. Plus she had a free condo for a week on the beach.
WTF. I was between relationships, so I loaded up with a pocketful of Viagara (recreational use only

) and off I went. Gonna make her regret ever leaving my azz

We let bygones be bygones and had a blast for a week. She was still smokin' hot. Towards the end of the tryst, she confided in me that the biggest mistake in her life was leaving me. That she had thought of me every day for the last 20 or so years. That she was still in love with me.
And, oh yeah, the guy she left me for was a total loser. And.....she needed my help. Seems he had run up all her credit cards to the tune of $65K and refused to work much less help her pay the bills. Was there anything I could do?
Hmmmmmm....lemme think about it. We parted company with her going back to south Florida and me to Mississippi. We kept in touch during the subsequent weeks. She pined for me to be near and for us to rekindle what we once had. Finally she suggested that she move to be nearer to me...the distance was driving her mad. And, oh yeah, had I thought anymore about helping her with her problem.
At this juncture I sent her a sweet card. I said I had thought long and hard about how best to help her. I gave her the name and address of a florida atty that did bankruptcy. Told her I had paid his $750 retainer on her behalf. And to never contact me again.
Ahhhh.....revenge: a dish best served cold.
