MILFs at Grade School
Our eldest child began K at our local elementary school a few years ago. It's all good, a new, exciting experience for all of us. Fast forward, another child at the school, and over time, my brain has absorbed various tidbits of domestic struggles, dilemmas, "secrets", etc. just while dropping off/picking up the kids, attending b-day parties, fundraisers, sports activities, various school events, etc. An apparent, underlying Wisteria Lane sub-culture is underscored by the sight of many young moms in the morning, many nicely dressed even though unemployed, some very attractive, congregating, socializing, if you will, with the elementary school as the backdrop. Maybe some of them are purposely not wearing green today.
I've been so focused with work, being a husband and dad - basically making sure my own "house" is in order - to notice this stuff before. Certain events, including encounters with some old friends and catching up w/their lives has served as an eye-opener. Anyway, I guess the moral is, certain social needs don't necessarily end with marriage and kids. Maybe others have noticed something similar in their own "environment." Hell, maybe someone here is gettin' with his kid's classmate's mom.
