My skiing skills are amateurish at best. I learned when i was 16 or so. I've skied probably 20 times in my life. I can't imagine trying to learn in my mid 40s, due to the next day soreness factor alone.
To have everything and lose it in the pursuit of some frivolous new hobby seems like a pretty sick joke by the guy upstairs.
