There are two connections between BSG and Bloomington, Illinois.
Mary McDonnell's brother or sister lives here. I know this because my wife substitute taught a class with her nephew in it.
Michael Angeli is one of the writers. His sister is a member of our local PCA group.
Also, Sam Shephard was considered for the role of William Adama. He is a frequent visitor to Bloomington.
