All good points. I have learned much. Shot placement and patience, yes gotta go with that.

What about the folks that come up for a first time shot at a big bear. How is that approached by the guides and experienced hunters. Say a new guy in your group. Is he outfitted differently that the veterans? I have some idea regarding the answer, but you have some pretty good insight as well as others. I think a few Alaskan's would know a little more about this. It is educational.
