Savage offers the thumb trough model i posed above in a .22lr so i might look into that as an option. I really enjoy thumbhole rifles i have shot a remington XR-100 rangemaster a while a go a shot my person best at 100 yds. i find them very comfortable to shoot especially for longer times.
