My teenager showed me this website -
www.YourFonts.com - I figured us PPOT people have nothing better to do with our time - I searched and didn't find anything on it here.
It allows you to create your own TrueType font to use with your documents. Imagine having spell checked, handwritten-looking notes to play with. Perhaps a love-note generator could be programmed.... MY IDEA!
It also makes it easy to print your signature - use the "^" symbol and there it is.
The site instructs you on what to do - it's fairly easy and begins with printing out this grid and writing you letters like in 1st grade - neatness counts.
There is a second page with all the unique alphabets (i.e. character sets) you can imagine for other languages. After you scan the grid, upload it and the site turns it into a 40 Kb ttf file you can load into you computer font list.
For now it is free - but there is a message saying that after 250K fonts are made they will charge a nominal fee.
