Assuming these cops were all wearing their body armor, my
guess is as follows.....
The 2 at the traffic stop were both taken down with head shots with some sort of pistol.
The 3 SWAT cops in the apt.(2 killed, 1 wounded), i really don't know how the guy managed to kill 2 of them shooting blind through a door. These guys would typically have Class IV body armor and Kevlar helmets.
Those should both have stopped any typical "assault rifle" rounds that hit, and the B-guy obviously could not make deliberate head shots through an opaque barrier, so the cops were either extremely unlucky, the guy had a high powered rifle of
at least .308 caliber (7.62 NATO) firing AP type rounds, or the story we've heard is somewhat less than accurate.
On the surface i would suspect this guy is ex combat arms and probably an Iraq/A-stan vet, but maybe not.
