Nice looking car...
In my opinion the Carrera name on these cars is bit of a misnomer at this pont.
In 77, all US model cars 911s were 2.7 "narrow body" cars. Except the Turbo Carrera. However in Europe, the 3.0 Carrera was also available.. the only difference being the flares, the 3.0 engine, and wider wheels. Once all the DOT, emissions details, testing ,and approvals were worked out.. the car was re-badged as the SC and exported to the US.
The Carrera designation on these cars is unlike the Carrera designation on the early cars, or the 74 & 75 Euro Carrera cars. It brings no more performance than any other 78 or 79 SC.
That being said, it's hard to bring these into a price-pont beyond that of an equal condition 78 or 79 SC...
Just my 02 cents.. I say keep it and enjoy it.. sounds like you've done some nice stuff to it!
