Dove and quail are a blast no doubt, just really different. In Central and South Texas dove hunts, usually pushing a 100 degrees, sweating your butt off and watching for rattlesnakes. Quail a little better as the season is later, but hit or miss rains greatly affect the quail population and leases are so expensive, it puts it beyond reach of most.
Ducks on the other hand,,,,,well, shallow water, nasty weather,

Have had some fanstastic hunts on public land, just not that many other crazies to go out in good waterfowl conditions.
