Well, today when I started, it was first a craftsman 6 point 17mm, then I pounded a 6 point 16mm on after that.

I think the previous folks that put the lugnut on did it with an impact. The nuts are aftermarket and are small diameter, and soft. I think it was a combination of things that led to it. I also don't have any heat to put on the nut. That probably would have helped. I've never actually used heat to get a nut/bolt out.

I normally do pretty well getting things apart too, but then I only have about 22 years of nut removal exp.
