Should not be that big of a deal. I have imported several vehicles from Europe and just brought one in from Canada and the Feds were very easy to deal with. That said, I did use an import broker and they did most of the legwork with the feds and thats needed.
One thing that is a big help is the age of the truck in your case as there is no dealing with safety or smog crap on something that age.
