I had a similar reply when a cop in an unmarked Camaro tried to get me to race him, I woudn't take the bait and he lit me up when I pulled away from a green light too fast. His first words were, "So you're gonna let some kid in a Camaro bait you into streetracing?" I replied, "Officer, if I had wanted to race you, you wouldn't have caught me." After a field sobriety test and some car talk, he gave me a ticket for no front plate.
