I think you're all taking a few scene cues and a driving need to find complexity in the story to create alternative timelines. Everyone assumes that the writers are making things more and more convoluted, when it seems to me that they are making things more and more clarified.
Dharma sign over the building? Big deal, numerous explanations. Heck, Christian could have been sprucing the place up (I don't think he likes the Others too much...).
Numbers over the radio? You heard 2 numbers spoken over static, that's it. A pattern is not made by 2 numbers, especially when it involves the Numbers.
Statue happens to look like some Egyptian Goddess of fertility? OK, the writers decided they wanted an Egyptian statue (they look cool). The want a gentle one (hard to do...). Fertility? WooHoo! Jackpot! Oh...she has 4 toes? That'll drive those fanboys batty...Don't take it as anything more than that...the Island is not from ancient Egypt, now was it populated by them. It was quite clearly populated by Giant 4-Toed Aliens that were honored as Gods around the planet, with their Pyramids and Ruins.
Clear your mind of such things, get back to the story, and you'll see that it actually is driving towards a conclusion. The writers have been hassled to no end about making things weird, so weird stuff is being tossed in to trip you up, just as it's being tossed in front of the Losties to trip up their ultimate goal.
Jacob/Christian are trying to get the timeline cleaned up, and back on track, because they don't really like this whole flashing thing...it's gotta be bad for their home. The Island is going to start healing itself really quick like, it's done healing other people.
We're also going to see inside the Temple very soon...I predict the last day of the season. Walt has to come back for that too (he's been pivotal in every season finale).
Those are MY bold predictions
