The interior in this car appears to be cherry and could be worth the initial asking price of $6000 alone to someone restoring a 1966. With that being said there is NO shortcut around rust. For a proper restoration every inch of this car would have to be inspected. This would require a total dismantle and stripping of the metal. Speedo in his SWB restoration thread shows in detail what it takes to handle a project of this magnitude as a DIYer w/ mad skills and an over the top passion. I personnally undertook a restoration of a 69 w/ rust issues as a checkbook mechanic. IMO, the costs are nose bleed high. This car is in much worst shape than mine was. Be clear this car is rusted about as bad as they can rust. If you brought it to a top shop it would be a 6 figure restoration.
