porsche owners vs mercedes owners
i was just on a mercedes site looking for info on the FD for a 930, same as the one on there v8 car. anyway, i was reading some of their stuff and man, what a difference in people. porsche owners seem to be way more in touch with their cars.
there were several that said, i just replaced my FD and still....blah blah blah.
then they would come back and say, i put new plugs in and it is fixed! they had NO clue what was going on, just replacing parts. i realize that is the purpose of these forums is to get help, but it sure seems like the P guys are a little smarter about getting help. one guy wanted to replace his fuel pump because he had TOO much pressure. i understand that not everyone is mechanical, but i have read about and know people here that have rebuilt their motor and never done much engine work before.
BTW, any help with the 930 FD would be welcome. check timc's post for more info, but basically the CP and the primary pressure are acting the same, they go from 2.5 bar up to 3.5 bar then back down and it repeats on about a 15second cycle. the rear FP was just replaced.
