It should be clear that the FIA is trying to drive McLaren from the sport.
It should also be clear that this was done so that McLaren didn't end the first race with points when Ferrari got none.

It should be clear that Lewis lied and deserves the punishment. His lies resulted in another driver erroneously getting a 25 second penalty which resulted in loss of 3rd place.
Ferrari didn't do it, the FIA didn't do it, Mclaren did. Telling the stewards something in an interview that isn't true to screw your competitors is not cool. No excuses.
Trying to point fingers at everyone else is a bit misleading, don'cha think?
