Jaime is at "On With Life" which is a residential care facility in Iowa. She continues to make progress although her recovery is a marathon and not a sprint. Deb(her mother) is with her daily and is a big part of her daily activities. Kurt commutes from South Dakota on weekends to be with them. Jaime's injuries were severe and she has a long journey to return to her life as it was before the accident but she is getting excellent care and the love and support of her family and more people than she ever imagined. Kurt called a couple weekends back to say Thank You for the prayers and good wishes that have been expressed here on Pelican.
Deb makes daily entries in the
CaringBridge journal to keep everyone up to date. One can only be impressed and touched by the strength and courage this family has demonstrated in this very difficult time in their lives.
