My thoughts are try not to think ahead. The first course of business is to let the experts determine exactly what is going on and what are the options based on the facts. Once you have the facts you then have to make some decisions. If one of those decisions is to put the dog down in my opinion you owe it to the dog to be there when it happens. It won't be easy if anything you will cry like a baby I know I did. But I had to be there for my Casey just like she was there for me every day for 14 years !
